The materials layered in this piece originate from the multigenerational home that houses my family as well as our hairdressing business. The piece imitates the appearance of the building, as well as the ideologies at work within that home. The title refers to one of the many repetitive proclamations my grandmother delivered to me, and the act of checking between seat cushions to recover loose change.
